The Terra shade sits in the warm, earthy scale and works as a stable core colour in both childrenswear and womenswear. 2/1 rib is often used for rib cuffs, necklines and sleeve finishes on sweatshirts and hoodies, but the heavy weight also makes it relevant for close-fitting tops, rib dresses and leggings when you want more substance than a lighter rib.

The 2/1 structure gives a clear rib profile and firm, controlled elasticity. This makes it easier to achieve an edge that stays in place and holds up wash after wash. At the same time, the rib drapes nicely on the body without feeling loose.

Many fabric shops buy 2/1 rib as a colour match for the season’s jogging and jersey programme, while smaller producers use it for rib details where the tone must be the same from roll to roll. The heavy metre good is also suitable when you want to minimise show-through in light designs.

Wash at 30 degrees, inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve elasticity and reduce the risk of shrinkage.
