Dark brown melange delivers a deep look without becoming a flat solid colour. The melange base makes the shade more forgiving in ranges where you need to match multiple batches, and it pairs well with natural tones, denim shades and warm core colours.

2/1 rib in this weight is often used as rib cuffs on sweatshirts and loungewear, where the edge must hold its shape. It also works as the main fabric for close-fitting tops, dresses and skirts when you want a rib with more body. 300 g/m² offers a strong balance between stability and mobility.

In production, the rib is easy to work with because the dense structure gives a neat overlock finish and is less prone to edge curling when cutting than lighter rib. This results in a more predictable process when cutting many sizes within the same order.

Fabric shops often choose dark brown melange as an all-year colour, and smaller producers use it for basic styles where reordering and consistency from roll to roll are important.

Wash at 30 degrees and preferably inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve elasticity and minimise shrinkage.
