Taupe Melange sits between grey and brown and works as a calm, non-seasonal colour in both womenswear and menswear collections. The melange effect creates a softer colour transition, making it easy to combine with both cool and warm tones.

2/1 rib at 300 g/m² provides more stability than a light rib. This is especially noticeable in finishes, where the rib needs to keep its shape after repeated stretching. Use the quality for rib cuffs on sweatshirts, necklines on hoodies and sleeve finishes on jackets. Many also choose this weight for close-fitting garments such as dresses, tops and skirts when you want a rib that is not see-through.

The crosswise elasticity makes the rib comfortable to wear, while the elastane helps maintain the fit. This gives a rib that drapes nicely without losing direction in the rib wales.

Fabric shops often buy taupe melange as a “bridge colour” in their core range. Smaller producers use it for short runs because the colour can be reordered and performs consistently from roll to roll.

Wash at 30 degrees, preferably inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve elasticity and shape.
