Dusty Blue is a muted blue tone that sits calmly in an assortment and pairs well with both grey, off-white and dark blue. Rib 2/1 has a pronounced rib structure that adds more body and a more shape-stable feel than many lighter rib qualities. This makes it suitable when you want to offer rib as yardage for full styles.

The quality is often used for rib cuffs, necklines and sleeve finishes, but also for close-fitting tops, close-fit dresses and leggings, where the stretch should provide good mobility without the garment losing shape. A question buyers often have is whether a heavy rib at 300 g/m² becomes too bulky in use. The rib adds more “body”, but because it is knitted and elastic, it still feels flexible in sewing and wear.

Fabric shops typically buy Dusty Blue as a base colour because it sells steadily across seasons and customer types. Smaller manufacturers use it for consistent series where the same colour must be reorderable without major variation.

Wash at 30 degrees, preferably inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve stretch and the colour tone.
