Dark denim melange hits a deep blue shade with a melange play. The colour is ideal when you want a more muted alternative to black, while still keeping a dark base colour that can be part of a standard assortment. The rib is often used for close-fitting tops, leggings, dresses and sets where stretch and fit are important. It also works well for baby and children’s wear, where a durable rib is desired for everyday use.

2/1 rib provides a pronounced structure and a firm hand when sewing. The 300 g/m² weight makes this quality relevant for styles that need a bit more body without becoming too heavy. A recurring purchasing question is whether melange shades can vary. Here, the melange delivers a stable, consistent look from roll to roll, so reorders can be included in the same colour programme.

Fabric shops often order dark melanges because they work in both children’s and adult segments and have a high turnover as a basic colour. Smaller producers use it for short runs where a dark rib should keep its shape wash after wash.

Wash at 30 degrees, inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve elasticity and colour.
