Old Rose is a dusty, calm rose shade that works as a base colour in ranges for both children and adults. This 2/1 rib is often used for rib cuffs, necklines, sleeve finishes and waistbands, where you want an edge that fits close and keeps its shape. The heavy weight adds more body than many standard rib qualities, so it can also be used for close-fitting tops, leggings and loungewear when you want a more stable rib structure.

The 2/1 construction gives clear rib wales and good elasticity across the width, while the fabric still feels stable in use. This makes it easier to achieve consistent fit in production, because the rib behaves predictably during sewing and holds up wash after wash.

Fabric shops typically choose the colour as an add-on to solid colour jersey fabric and sweatshirt programmes, while smaller clothing manufacturers use it for continuous trims in small runs. The quality is well suited when you want to unify multiple styles in the same colour expression and avoid colour variation when reordering.

Wash at 30 degrees, inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve elasticity.
