Optic white cotton jersey is often used as a core base in collections where you need a clean, bright white for T-shirts, long-sleeve tops, leggings and slip dresses. It also works well as a ground colour for styles with labels, prints or appliqués, because the colour appears uniform.
The dense 220 g/m² cotton jersey provides good coverage in finished garments without being too heavy. The knit is stable yet still elastic, giving garments comfortable freedom of movement. The quality is also easy to plan for in production because the width remains consistent, giving predictable fabric consumption.
Fabric shops often choose optic white as a standard stock line, as demand is steady year-round. Smaller producers use the colour for core programs where reorders must match the same look. Consistent colour from roll to roll makes it easier to maintain a uniform collection without unwanted shade differences.
Wash at 30 degrees with the fabric turned inside out. Avoid tumble drying. Use a mild detergent.
