Optical white cotton jersey is often used as a base in collections where you want a clean, bright white for T-shirts, long-sleeve tops, leggings, and slips. It also works well as a ground colour for styles with labels, prints, or appliqués, because the colour appears uniform.

The dense 220 g/m² jersey provides good coverage in finished garments without being too heavy. The knit is stable yet still elastic, giving garments good freedom of movement. The quality is also easy to plan with in production because the width remains stable and you get predictable consumption.

Fabric shops often choose optical white as a standard item, as demand is steady throughout the year. Smaller manufacturers use the colour for basics programmes where reorders must match the same look. Consistent colour from roll to roll makes it easier to maintain a uniform collection without unwanted tone variations.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying. Use a mild detergent.
