Dark navy is a stable base colour that many use as an alternative to black. The shade fits both classic garments and more sporty looks, and it pairs easily with bright colours as well as muted tones.
This quality is often used for T-shirts, tops, leggings and dresses when you want a dense cotton jersey fabric with good coverage. 220 g/m² provides more body than very lightweight qualities, making the navy colour less see-through in wear.
The focus here is coverage and a calm, uniform appearance. The dark colour looks even and is suitable when you want to minimise transparency while keeping stretch and comfort.
Fabric shops and smaller producers often choose dark navy as a core stock colour because it appears in many collections. The colour is delivered without visible shade shifts and is consistent from roll to roll, which is an advantage for reorders and for deliveries to multiple customers.
Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying, and preferably use detergent without optical brighteners to maintain the deep tone.
Combine with matching trim material from Rib jersey, or see the full jersey category here: Jersey fabric.
