Lime rib is tubular knit rib in 95% cotton and 5% elastane, 230 g/m² and approx. 35–45 cm wide in tubular construction. The bright lime shade provides maximum visibility on rib edges and is consistent from roll to roll – the colour is lightfast and stays vivid with repeated washing.

Lime ribbing fabric is used for rib edges and cuffs on hoodies and sportswear, for highlighted waistbands and hems on joggers and shorts, for necklines on T-shirts and performance tops, and as edging fabric on ski jackets and windbreakers with visible details. The colour delivers the strongest contrast against black and white base fabric.

Lime rib edges are used deliberately to create high visibility and energy in sporty collections. The colour works as a signal – a sportswear company uses lime to mark an active line. A single lime rib edge on a black base fabric can define a collection’s identity. The colour sets well and keeps its brightness with correct washing without fading.

Sportswear and activewear manufacturers use Lime rib as a fixed component in ongoing sporty ranges. Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification supports requirements from European retail customers and sports brands with stricter product demands. Machine wash 40°C, normal programme. Low spin. Hang drying recommended. The colour is durable – iron on the reverse at low to medium temperature.
