Red velour is often used for Christmas-inspired displays, cushions, bench pads, headboards and lighter furniture covers where you want a clear colour and a surface with a soft touch. The colour also works for curtains and decorative solutions in retail when the look needs to be warm and classic. It can be a strong coordinating colour for Christmas fabric ranges, and it pairs well with holiday print fabric as a solid base.

The velour surface adds depth to the colour because the pile shifts slightly with the direction of the light. This makes the red shade more lively on surfaces such as cushions and panels without the fabric looking too busy. At the same time, the dense surface gives a neat finish when you work with simple cuts and clean edges.

This quality is typically ordered by fabric shops, interior retailers and smaller producers who need a stable velour for seasonal items and core basic colours. The polyester quality is practical operationally because it holds its shape in use and is easy to plan in metre lengths. The item is handled as a stock product, so you can reorder as needed.

Dry clean or gentle wash as needed. Always test on a sample first, and avoid tumble drying to preserve the pile.
