Light beige velour is the thin, soft version of our upholstery velour: 100% polyester without a felt backing, so it is easy to sew and shape. 360 g/m², 145 cm wide.

Light beige is a very pale peach beige and the lightest of the beige shades. It is lighter and more golden than cream. We suggest it for footstools and headboards. It keeps a room light and sits well with oak, rattan, green plants and earth tones.

The fabric has no felt backing, so it is easier to fold, gather and sew. That makes it a good fit for cushions, seat pads and headboards. For upholstery where the fabric is stapled tight to a frame, we recommend the sturdier quality with a felt backing.

The pile lies in one direction, so the colour shifts slightly when the fabric is seen from different angles. That is normal for velour and gives depth across large surfaces. Cut all pieces with the pile running the same way so the colour matches across the whole piece of furniture.

Abrasion resistance is 140,000 Martindale, and the fabric scored 5 in the pilling test, so very few bobbles form in normal use. Light fastness is 4–5.

The fabric is made for trade buyers: upholsterers, furniture makers and shops that sell fabric by the metre. The colour can be reordered as you go.

Vacuum regularly with a soft nozzle and blot spills straight away with a damp cloth. Always test cleaning on a hidden spot before treating the whole surface.
