Violet is a bright purple shade that gives a more striking colour choice than the dusty variants. Brushed french terry is often used for hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers and childrenswear sets, where you want to combine colour with a warm, brushed inside. The quality also works for accessories such as beanies and neck gaiters when you want a little more body.

The brushed reverse side provides warmth and a comfortable inside, while the face side keeps a solid colour, clean look. 4-way stretch makes the material flexible in both length and width, and lycra helps the fit hold up wash after wash. Violet can be used as a main colour or as an accent colour together with black, grey and off-white.

Fabric shops often choose clear colours like violet when building a wall of strong shades that create eye-catching impact in the store. Smaller producers use it for limited colours where the same base can be repeated across multiple styles without changing weight and width.

Wash at 30 degrees, reverse side out. Avoid tumble drying to protect the brushed surface.

Combine with matching or contrast rib knit from Rib jersey, or see the full range of sweatshirt qualities in French Terry.
