About this fabric

Steel grey canvas fabric is a heavy fabric in 100% cotton, 225 g/m² and 140 cm wide. It is woven in a Panama weave, which creates a lightly ribbed surface and a firm, robust fabric.

Canvas is heavy and holds its shape, but it is still easy to sew on a standard sewing machine. The fabric becomes a little softer with every wash and each time it is used, so a bag or an apron quickly develops a lived-in look.

Steel grey is an almost neutral grey with a cool cast. It is suitable for jackets, bags and seat pads in calm colours.

This quality is used for bags and tote bags, aprons, cushion covers, tablecloths, curtains, storage, and relaxed trousers and jackets. It is also suitable for workwear and shoes. For upholstery on seating surfaces, we recommend an upholstery fabric wholesale quality with an abrasion test, as this canvas is not tested according to Martindale.

All colours are the same quality, so fabric shops and sewing studios can mix colours in the same bulk order and keep the same weight and width across the entire range. We ship from our warehouse in Ikast.

Wash at 30 degrees. Do not bleach, dry clean or tumble dry. Iron at low heat.
