About this fabric

Midnight blue canvas fabric is a heavy fabric in 100% cotton, 225 g/m² and 140 cm wide. It is woven in a panama weave, which gives a lightly ribbed surface and a firm, robust fabric.

Canvas is heavy and keeps its shape, but it is still easy to sew on a standard sewing machine. The fabric becomes slightly softer with each wash and each time it is used, so a bag or an apron quickly gets a lived-in look.

Midnight blue is almost black in low light and clearly blue in daylight. It is a calm alternative to black for jackets and bags.

This quality is used for bags and tote bags, aprons, cushion covers, tablecloths, curtains, storage and relaxed trousers and jackets. It also works for workwear and for shoes. For furniture upholstery on seating surfaces, we recommend an upholstery fabric wholesale with an abrasion test, as canvas is not tested to Martindale.

All colours are the same quality, so fabric shops and sewing workshops can mix colours in the same order and keep the same weight and width across the entire range. We ship from our warehouse in Ikast.

Wash at 30 degrees. Do not bleach, dry clean or tumble dry. Iron on low heat.
