The sandwashed finish gives a premium linen-look without compromising – the fabric is still 100% cotton and retains cotton’s soft comfort. The denim blue colour has a classic, muted expression that fits both timeless core collections and more relaxed ranges.

Sandwashed cotton is often used for shirts, dresses, trousers and summerwear with a more matte and textured look than traditional canvas. The quality is also relevant for simple home items such as cushion covers when you want a calm, Scandinavian expression.

The finish makes range-building easier. You get a fabric that looks more “washed” and relaxed from the start, and that drapes nicely in sewn garments without feeling too heavy. At the same time, it is still cotton, which provides predictable handling in cutting and sewing.

Fabric shops often buy denim blue as a recurring colour that can be reordered and combined with prints and stripes. Smaller producers use the colour for short runs where consistent appearance is important.

Wash at 30–40 degrees. Avoid tumble drying to preserve finish and dimensions.
