Sand-washed cotton – white

Description

Sand-washed cotton in white is a woven cotton canvas in 100% cotton, 170 g/m² and 135-140 cm wide. The sand-washing process gives the surface a soft, slightly lived-in character — noticeably different from unwashed canvas — and significantly reduces post-wash shrinkage from the very first cut. The colour is clean white with a slight natural undertone that remains stable after repeated washing at 40°.

The 170 g/m² weight class provides appropriate body for structured cuts — enough fabric to hold shape in collar and cuffs, light enough for seasonal use.

Sand-washed cotton differs from standard canvas on two points: the hand is softer and more yielding, and it shrinks less after the first wash. The sewn garment drapes naturally and can be sold with minimal care requirements — an advantage in casual and lounge ranges.
