About this print

Gobelin – Hanko Lurex is gobelin jacquard woven in 50% cotton and 50% polyester, 360 g/m² and 140 cm wide.

Specifications:
– Material: 50% cotton, 50% polyester
– Weight: 360 g/m²
– Width: 140 cm
– Certification: Oeko-Tex
– Construction: Gobelin (jacquard woven)

The gobelin structure creates a stable, firm fabric with a clear motif, often used for cushions, light upholstery, seat pads and bags when you want a more robust look than standard upholstery fabric. Hanko Lurex has a bright base look with flowers and animals, working both in child-focused environments and as an eye-catcher in a seasonal collection.

Jacquard weaving means the motif is built into the weave itself and not applied as a print. This gives a surface with more depth and a quality that keeps its shape in products with edges and volume. Colour transitions and pattern remain sharp and look calm, even when the fabric is used across larger areas.

Fabric shops and smaller interior producers often choose gobelin when they need a patterned yardage with weight that can be sold as cushion and bag ranges in short runs. A question we often get is: What is gobelin fabric used for? Gobelin is typically used for interiors such as cushions, upholstery projects, seat pads and accessories because the construction is woven and more shape-stable.

Gentle wash at 30 degrees. Avoid tumble drying. Always test on a sample, especially with visible colours.
