Foil with squares – Blue is a stretch fabric for dance made of 95% polyester and 5% elastane, 160 g/m² and 160 cm wide.

The square foil pattern creates a distinct stage look, where light catches the surface and produces contrast in movement. The polyester base makes the fabric light and easy to work with in series, while the elastane contributes mobility to the finished garments.

This quality is often used for leggings, tops, body-hugging dresses, and performance wear where a graphic expression is desired. The low to medium weight also makes it suitable for detail inserts like panel seams or contrast fields.

The stretch provides good mobility and helps maintain shape in fit. At the same time, the fabric is stable enough for neat seams when using a stretch needle and elastic stitch.

Fabric shops and smaller producers select foil qualities as seasonal items for party and performance wear because the look is quickly communicated to customers. It is beneficial to plan cutting so that the foil side is handled carefully during production.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying. Avoid heavy ironing directly on the foil.
