Optical White is often used for party tops, loose blouses, dress layers, scarves, and as a lightweight overlay in stagewear when you want an airy look. The white shade works as a base in collections where the colour needs to be clean and consistent across larger metre quantities.

Chiffon has a beautiful drape and a light transparency, adding movement to garments without feeling heavy. The polyester chiffon quality is also practical in production because it wrinkles less than many natural fibres and holds its shape well in wear. This makes it suitable for items that need to hang nicely on hangers in-store.

Fabric shops and smaller producers often choose white chiffon as a standard stock item for seasonless styles and as a supplement to more structured fabrics sold by the metre. Consistent width makes it easier to calculate consumption for repeat bulk orders, and the colour is supplied consistently from roll to roll when reordering.

Wash gently at 30 degrees. Use a laundry bag for loose edges. Avoid tumble drying and hang to dry.
