A true violet with more blue than red, with the blue side leading – closer to an amethyst than to purple. Violet is rarely seen in fabric stores because it is difficult to dye evenly, so a clean, deep violet is worth stocking when it is available.

The colour is strongest in daylight and becomes calm and rich under indoor lighting. That makes it ideal for garments sold as everyday favourites and worn from morning to evening without changing.

Certified and animal-friendly: the wool is mulesing-free and comes from sheep that are not mulesed (a
painful procedure where skin is cut away around the tail). Woolmark confirms genuine
quality wool, and Oeko-Tex 100 means tested free from harmful substances.

Suitable for dresses, turtlenecks, cardigans, girls’ tops, and winter accessories. The solid colour surface keeps the look calm, even when designs have many seams and panels. Wash at 30° on a wool programme, dry flat, never tumble dry, no chlorine, no
ironing, gentle dry clean. Shrinkage 3-5%.
