About this print
Petrol blue is a deep blue with green in it – like the sea on a grey day. It is the colour of the North Sea in November, blue that has been weathered outdoors, and it makes customers take a second look. It has the depth of navy with nothing uniform about it.
Many choose navy as the standard when they need a dark blue; here they get the more interesting version of the same decision. From a distance the colour reads as navy, up close the green comes forward and adds more life to the surface. This is exactly the blue customers pick when they are tired of navy but still want to stay on the dark end.
Specifications:
– 100% merino wool
– 200 g/m², 165 cm wide
– soft 1×1 rib knit with a fine, even rib structure and good stretch
– deep petrol blue rib, green cast on a solid colour sea-blue base

Certified and animal-friendly: the wool is mulesing-free and comes from sheep that are not mulesed (a
painful procedure where skin is cut away around the tail). Woolmark confirms genuine
quality wool, and Oeko-Tex 100 means tested free from harmful substances.
Suitable for sweaters, shirt dresses, and joggers, where a calm, dark base sells well. It also works well as fabric by the metre for children’s tops and men’s turtlenecks, because it feels classic from a distance. When placed next to prints, it is a strong base colour that creates a calm backdrop on the shelf. Wash at 30° on a wool programme, dry flat, never tumble dry, no chlorine, no
ironing, gentle dry clean. Shrinkage 3-5%.
