The curry color adds warmth and depth to a collection and works well with natural tones, black, and navy blue. Boiled wool bouclé is often used for jackets, short coats, vests, and simple skirts where you want a fabric with fullness and a calm wool look. The soft surface provides a comfortable soft touch, while the firm construction makes the quality suitable for styles with a bit more structure.
An important consideration in assortment building is coverage. Boiled wool bouclé feels dense and offers a more closed appearance than many loose wool fabrics. This is an advantage when you want a clean look without working with multiple layers.
Fabric shops often include curry as a seasonal color that can be repeated year after year because it is not very seasonal. Smaller producers choose it for small runs where it’s important that the fabric is uniform from roll to roll and can be reordered for the same color story.
Washing is recommended as gentle wool wash at 30 degrees. Avoid tumble drying. Dry flat.
Combine with classic woven basics when building a cohesive range, e.g. Solid Poplin for lining, details, or contrast parts.
