Black stretch denim is often used for jeans, skirts, shorts and lightweight jackets when you want a classic denim look with more freedom of movement than a fully rigid denim. The 195 g/m² weight makes the quality suitable for year-round styles without the material becoming too heavy.

The stretch content provides a more forgiving fit and makes it easier to achieve consistent sizing in production. The woven denim still has the denim hand-feel and a calm, even look that works well for black core collections.

Fabric shops and smaller clothing manufacturers often choose black denim as a stock line because the colour appears across many collections and can be sold year-round. The quality is also relevant if you are looking for stretch denim fabric with elastane or denim fabric by the metre for trousers where the customer expects comfort.

Wash at 30 degrees. Turn inside out to protect the colour. Avoid tumble drying, as it causes unnecessary wear on the elastane content.
