Red/offwhite tartan is used for Christmas shirts and pyjamas for AW ranges with seasonal appeal, Christmas costumes and themed outfits for events, markets and company parties, children’s and baby clothing with a Christmas motif for family ranges, and textile accessories and Christmas decorations for home and gift ranges.

Yarn dyeing rather than print dyeing keeps the red colour stable and sharp against offwhite – no colour migration or bleeding occurs during washing. Producers delivering Christmas collections early in the season avoid complaints about colour bleeding, which is a known risk with printed alternatives produced using fast-drying dyes.

Christmas and AW tartan is typically ordered 3–6 months ahead of the season to ensure delivery security. Regular customers book lot-consistent rolls to cover their entire season’s production, so the production line is not stopped by missing materials during the most important sales period.

Care: Wash at 40°C. Tumble dry on low heat. Iron at medium heat.
