Wine red canvas at this weight is commonly used for shirts, dresses and skirts where a firm look and a fabric that holds its shape are required. The quality is also well suited for light trousers, aprons and accessories, where a woven cotton fabric gives a more stable finish than a knit. The colour works well in classic core collections and as a seasonal colour in smaller ranges.

The woven construction makes the fabric easy to cut cleanly and gives stable sewing in production. The 140 g/m² weight is balanced for fabric by the metre when you want a canvas that drapes neatly but still feels firm. It gives a calm drape and a dry, textile look.

Fabric stores and smaller clothing producers often choose cotton fabric in consistent colours to be able to reorder the same shade. Colours in this type of base canvas are typically planned for repeat drops, where you want to avoid colour variation from roll to roll.

Wash at 30–40°C. Pre-washing is recommended before cutting when producing fabric for runs. Avoid tumble drying to limit shrinkage.
