Lilac fold-over elastic is often used for underwear, childrenswear and sportswear when you want an elastic edge that adds a calm colour accent. The picot edge helps fold the elastic evenly, so you get a stable, neat finish at necklines, leg openings and sleeve hems.

High stretch provides good freedom of movement in the garment and reduces the risk of waviness along the edge when the elastic is sewn on at an even pace. Colour fastness grade 4-5 is relevant if you sell to customers who expect a colour that lasts wash after wash with normal care.

For fabric shops, lilac is a strong supplementary colour to the core palette. For smaller producers, 100-metre rolls provide a fixed baseline for bills of materials and reordering, so you can run the same finish across several models.

Wash at 30 degrees. Avoid tumble drying to protect the elasticity.
