Sewing Thread Dark Petrol is a strong 1000 m roll of polyester thread, ideal for sewing both lightweight and midweight fabrics. The thread is tightly spun and holds without breaking during sewing – especially important when working with cotton jersey, cotton and blends.

Dark petrol is a neutral dark blue tone that pairs with navy, teal and grey fabrics without looking dominant. Used by hobby sewists and small garment producers for general sewing of childrenswear, leggings, sweatshirts and underwear. The thread feeds well through the sewing machine and produces a neat, straight seam without skipped stitches or breaks.

The thread is a stock item and is not changed more often than necessary – which means consistent colour reproduction across all your projects. Many sew both navy and black garments with this thread, as it matches grey- and blue-toned fabrics better than pure black would. Wash at 30-40 degrees. The thread shrinks minimally and remains unchanged through multiple washes.
