The petrol shade has a deep blue-green tone that is often used in core collections, dresses, blouses, T-shirts and lightweight trousers. The colour works well on its own and together with both neutral and stronger colours in a collection. The viscose fibre gives a soft hand feel and beautiful drape, while the lycra adds stretch and better shape retention in the finished garment.

Single jersey knit viscose is suitable when you want a more fluid surface than cotton jersey while still needing elasticity. The quality drapes softly and falls naturally. It is especially suited for womenswear and menswear where garments need mobility without feeling heavy.

Petrol is typically ordered by fabric shops, smaller clothing manufacturers and brands that work with solid colour core lines in smaller runs. This solid colour fabric is easy to add to an assortment because it can be used year-round and combined with many prints and stable fabrics. Consistent width from roll to roll makes it easier to calculate consumption in production.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve stretch, drape and colour as well as possible.
