Vortex viscose jersey – Black is a luxury single jersey knit in 95% viscose and 5% elastane, 240 g/m² and 150 cm wide. The yarn is spun using vortex technology, and that is what makes the difference.

With vortex spinning, air currents twist the fibres tightly around the yarn core. The yarn gets a smooth surface with far fewer loose fibre ends, and it is precisely these loose ends that gather into pilling when garments are worn and washed. The result is a viscose jersey that pills significantly less than standard viscose and keeps its clean, matte look for longer.

At 240 g/m², this quality has more body than a classic 220 g viscose jersey. It drapes softly, provides good coverage and feels cool against the skin. The black colour is an all-year staple for dresses, blouses, T-shirts, skirts and wide-leg trousers, where you want the fluid drape of viscose without compromising on durability.

This quality is ideal for brands and sewing workshops that sell garments that need to look new after many washes. Fewer complaints about pilling means fewer returns. The vortex viscose can be ordered together with other qualities in the same order, and we ship from our warehouse in Ikast.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out, and use a gentle cycle. Avoid tumble drying, and hang to dry.
