The melange look creates a calm, lightly mottled surface, often used for basic collections where the colour should appear more lively than a completely solid colour quality. The 220 g/m² jersey weight offers a strong balance between drape and durability. This makes the quality suitable for T-shirts, tops, leggings and lightweight dresses where good freedom of movement is required.

The blend with polyester contributes to better shape stability in everyday wear, and the stretch makes the fabric easy to work with in production. Choose this type of melange when your customers want a more casual look, while still needing a cotton jersey fabric that performs well in both children’s and adult sizes.

Fabric shops and smaller manufacturers often buy melange cotton jersey as a supplement to basic colours, because the melange effect can add more depth on the shelf and in finished styles. When reordering, consistency is important in collections, so you can plan colours across deliveries.

Wash at 30 degrees and preferably inside out. Avoid tumble drying to preserve stretch and surface.
