– Feature: Firm upholstery fabric
– Pattern: Deer and forest (animals)
The jacquard weave creates a motif with depth because the pattern is part of the weave itself rather than a surface print. Deer and forest suit interiors in a calm, Nordic style where you want texture and a clear motif without a harsh look.
Gobelin is often used for cushion covers, loose furniture covers, bench cushions and bags where the fabric needs to hold its shape. The firm quality also makes it suitable for decorative panels, for example on seats or as details on larger interior projects.
The surface and construction provide good coverage and a stable drape. The fabric shifts minimally during sewing, so you get clean edges and a consistent result when you cut to the motif and keep the same grain direction.
This quality is typically ordered by fabric shops and smaller interior producers who want a gobelin with a clear pattern as a stock item. The jacquard structure makes it easy to plan by-the-metre fabric for repeat items because the look is consistent in the material.
Wash at 30 degrees. Avoid tumble drying.
