Teak brown is a mid-dark, warm brown like aged teak. It is darker than tobacco and redder than olive brown. We suggest it for cushions and headboards. It suits retro furniture and goes with cream, mustard and green plants.

The felt backing makes the fabric stable and easy to staple, so it holds its shape on seats, backs and arms. The thinner velour without felt suits cushions and sewn items better, while this quality is the one we recommend for actual upholstery.

Like all velour, the fabric shows a slight shading effect when the pile is brushed in different directions. Lay all pattern pieces with the pile in the same direction when cutting, so a sofa or a headboard gets the same shade everywhere.

Keep the surface clean with a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner. Blot spills with a damp white cloth, and test any cleaning on a hidden spot first.
