Use

Professional assessment

Crushed velvet is cut with sharp scissors along the nap for a clean edge. Sew using a stretch stitch type, e.g. overlock or coverstitch type 401. The fold runs crosswise and stays stable during movement — making the fabric suitable for garments with high freedom of movement. Avoid a hot iron directly on the surface, as the polyester fibres flatten at high heat.
