Red velour is cotton velour in a blend of polyester and cotton, with a bright red plush surface and a soft, stretchy construction.

The bright red colour is strong and clean – it creates a vivid look and is especially in demand for Christmas, festivals and colourful childrenswear collections. Used for velour sweatshirts, baby rompers, leggings, pyjamas and partywear for children in sizes 50 to 128. Also suitable for trims and accessories with a bold expression.

The plush surface is soft and drapes beautifully with good flow. The velour construction provides light stretch across the width, giving good freedom of movement in the finished garment. The surface should be cut in a consistent direction – the fabric grain affects colour intensity and sheen. Holds colour after washing at the correct temperature.

Red velour is mainly ordered by fabric shops and hobby sewers who work with strong-colour childrenswear and seasonal production. Red is one of the fastest-moving velour colours in our range during the autumn and Christmas season. Stock item – ready for dispatch the same business day when ordered before 12:00.

Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Avoid tumble drying – hang to dry. Do not iron directly on the plush surface.
