Poplin fabric is woven with tight threads that give the fabric a smooth, lightly crisp hand — especially suitable for men’s shirts, women’s shirts, children’s shirts, and lightweight everyday dresses. The sky blue shade is a classic colour that pairs well with both neutral and coloured companion fabrics. The colour holds up after repeated washes and is colourfast for normal indoor and outdoor use.

Lightweight poplin has a beautiful drape without becoming flimsy, and the fabric keeps its shape even after many wash cycles. The tight weave means the fabric is not see-through — you do not need interlining or lining in finished garments. The construction makes it easy to cut and sew by both machine and hand, and it handles both standard machine stitching and overlock without fraying significantly at the edges.

Wash at 40°C, inside out. Lightly iron while the fabric is damp. Avoid tumble drying — lay flat to dry.

Combine with white or grey poplin from our poplin collection for a striped or checked look — or use it as the main fabric combined with contrast cotton rib knit for necklines and sleeve finishes.
