About this print

If you need a fabric that is light as a veil, yet holds away from the body in folds, then organza in black is a good option. It is woven in 100% polyamide (nylon), weighs approx. 20 g/m² and has a fine sheen. Black is a deep black that is still transparent in a single layer and creates an elegant veil effect.

Use it for chair bows, table runners and decorations for weddings and parties, or for small gift bags for sugared almonds, gifts and table décor. Organza is also great for veils, bows, costumes and decorations where you want lightness and an airy look. In multiple layers, the colour becomes deeper, and layered over another fabric, organza adds shine and a subtle tint of colour.

Organza frays at the cut edge, so sew with a French seam or rolled hem. Use a fine needle, size 60 to 70, and sharp scissors, and pin closely, as the fabric slips easily.
