About this print

Sand organza is a lightweight, crisp and transparent fabric woven from fine threads in 100% polyamide (nylon). It weighs only around 20 g/m² and has a glossy sheen that catches the light as the fabric moves. Sand is a light, warm beige reminiscent of dry beach sand and pairs well with both white and natural shades.

Use it for chair bows, table runners and decorations for weddings and events, or for lightweight curtains and voile where daylight should come through but the view is softened. Organza is also ideal for veils, bows, costumes and décor where you want brightness and lightness. In multiple layers the colour becomes deeper, and layered over another fabric, organza adds shine and a subtle tint of colour.

The cut edge frays, so a French seam, rolled hem or a narrow edge finished with bias tape gives the neatest result. A fine needle and slightly shorter stitch length make it easier to control the slippery fabric.
