Lavender organza is a lightweight, crisp and sheer fabric woven from fine threads in 100% polyamide (nylon). It weighs only around 20 g/m² and has a glossy sheen that catches the light when the fabric moves. Lavender is a soft, light purple that suits weddings, christenings and confirmations.

Use it for chair bows, table runners and decorations for weddings and celebrations, or for lightweight curtains and voile where daylight should come in but the view is softened. Organza is also great for veils, bows, costumes and decorations where you want a light, airy look. In multiple layers the colour becomes deeper, and when layered over another fabric, organza adds shine and a subtle tint of colour.

The fabric is smooth and frays at the edge. Place tissue paper underneath while sewing, use a fine needle, and finish edges with a French seam or rolled hem.
