Cobalt blue organza is a lightweight, crisp and sheer fabric woven from fine threads in 100% polyamide (nylon). It weighs only around 20 g/m² and has a glossy sheen that catches the light when the fabric moves. Cobalt blue is a bright, strong blue with plenty of colour, even in a single layer.

Use it for overskirts, skirts and layers on dresses for celebrations and confirmations, or for small gift bags for sugared almonds, gifts and table decorations at weddings. Organza is also great for veils, bows, costumes and decorations where you want a light, airy look. In multiple layers the colour becomes deeper, and when layered over another fabric, organza adds shine and a subtle tint of colour.

The cut edge frays, so a French seam, rolled hem or a narrow edge finished with bias tape gives the neatest result. A fine needle and slightly shorter stitch length make it easier to handle the slippery fabric.
