If you need a fabric that is as light as a veil yet holds its shape in folds, organza in bordeaux is an excellent choice. It is woven in 100% polyamide (nylon), weighs approx. 20 g/m² and has a subtle sheen. Bordeaux is a deep wine red that feels warm and festive, especially in evening light.

Use it for chair bows, table runners and decorations for weddings and parties, or for small gift bags for wedding favours, gifts and table décor. Organza is also great for veils, bows, costumes and decorations where you want lightness and an airy look. In multiple layers the colour becomes deeper, and layered over another fabric, organza adds shine and a soft tint of colour.

The fabric is smooth and frays at the edges. Place tissue paper underneath when sewing, use a fine needle, and finish the edges with a French seam or rolled hem.
