Mauve is a soft, grey-toned lilac-rose between lilac and taupe. The colour is lilac with grey folded in – so muted that it behaves like a neutral. On an overcast Scandinavian afternoon it looks grey, and in warm indoor light the rose returns.

That shift makes it interesting to sew with, because the fabric shows two expressions depending on the light in the room. A garment in mauve looks different depending on where you stand, and the rib structure adds another layer as the light hits the ribs.

Certified and animal-friendly: the wool is mulesing-free and comes from sheep that are not mulesed (a
painful procedure where skin is cut away around the tail). Woolmark confirms genuine
quality wool, and Oeko-Tex 100 means tested free from harmful substances.

Suitable for loungewear, tops, wide-leg trousers, dressing gowns, and soft cardigans in autumn and winter ranges. As a solid colour rib, it works as a calm base where the colour still has subtle variation from daylight to indoor light. Wash at 30° on a wool programme, dry flat, never tumble dry, no chlorine, no
ironing, gentle dry clean. Shrinkage 3-5%.
