Mushroom is a soft grey-brown – warmer than grey and lighter than chocolate. It is the kind of neutral shade that can stay in the range all year and work with most items on the shelf.

In the fine rib, the colour shifts between grey and brown as the fabric moves, giving a simple style more depth than a flat neutral. It suits customers who want something calm and feel that black and grey are too harsh.

Certified and animal-friendly: the wool is mulesing-free and comes from sheep that are not mulesed (a painful procedure where skin is cut away around the tail). Woolmark stands for genuine quality wool, and Oeko-Tex 100 means tested free from harmful substances.

Suitable for long-sleeve everyday tops, wrap cardigans and simple knit dresses, and small offcuts are enough for children’s leggings. Mushroom pairs with cream, black, rust, navy blue and light rose, so it can carry a small capsule wardrobe. As a base colour in the shop, it is easy to combine with seasonal prints. Wash at 30° wool programme, dry flat, never tumble dry, no bleaching, no ironing. Shrinkage 3–5%. Store flat.
