About this print
Burnt orange sits as a deep, lightly smoked orange with a red undertone. It is the colour of a pumpkin left outside well into November. The red base keeps it away from flat summer orange and places it right in the middle of autumn.
Strong colours can be difficult close to the face; here the depth helps, because it does not become harsh. The ribs break the surface into light and shadow, so the intensity is softened in the drape and looks calmer when made into garments.
Specifications:
– 100% merino wool
– 200 g/m², 165 cm wide
– soft 1×1 rib knit with fine, even rib structure and good stretch
– deep lightly smoked orange rib with a red undertone, solid colour base
– Oeko-Tex 100 + Woolmark
– knitted in Denmark, mulesing-free
– sold by the metre
Certified and animal-friendly: the wool is mulesing-free and comes from sheep that are not mulesed (a
painful procedure where skin is cut away around the tail). Woolmark confirms genuine
quality wool, and Oeko-Tex 100 means tested free from harmful substances.
Suitable for turtlenecks, long-sleeve tops and base layers where customers want a distinctive colour without it shouting. The colour sells well as a solid-colour supplement to prints in autumn ranges, precisely because the rib structure tones down the look in movement. Wash at 30° wool cycle, dry flat, never tumble dry, no chlorine, no
ironing, gentle dry clean. Shrinkage 3-5%.
