Description

Stone is woven double gauze in 100% cotton, 130 g/m² and 135 cm wide. The light greige shade is neutral and calm and works as a soft base colour in a summer range.

Specifications:

  • Material: 100% cotton
  • Weight: 130 g/m²
  • Width: 135 cm
  • Construction: Woven double gauze (muslin)
  • Care: Machine wash 30°C

Two thin layers of gauze are fastened together, making the fabric airy and softly draping. The surface has a light, crinkled texture, and the airy weave makes the fabric cool and breathable against the skin.

Stone is used for loose shirts, summer dresses, tunics and babywear. The neutral greige works with many colours and is easy to build a collection around. The fabric suits both childrenswear and womenswear and gets softer with every wash.

A neutral base colour like Stone is often ordered by clothing manufacturers and fabric shops that need a staple that works with many shades. Hobby sewists use it for dresses, shirts and babywear where a calm colour is an advantage. Consistent width from roll to roll makes fabric consumption easy to plan in production, and the even colour from roll to roll keeps panel matching consistent. Many keep it in stock all season because it is easy to resell by the metre. Stock item and ready for dispatch.

Wash at 30 degrees. Pre-washing is recommended, as double gauze shrinks slightly the first few times. Avoid tumble drying and hang to dry.

Combine with several shades from our gauze collection for colour blocking and lining.
