Double Gauze Dark Khaki

Description

Dark Khaki is a woven double gauze in 100% cotton, 130 g/m² and 135 cm wide. The dark, earthy green-brown shade has a matte, natural surface.

The construction is two thin layers of gauze tacked together, making the fabric airy and softly draping. The surface has the light, crinkled texture that characterises muslin, and the fabric becomes softer with each wash.

Dark Khaki is used for loose shirts, summer trousers, tunics and babywear. The earthy tone is easy to combine with both warm and cool colours and suits both childrenswear and womenswear. The fabric is light and cool and is suitable for warm-weather clothing.

The colour is consistent from roll to roll, so panels can be sewn together without visible shifts, and consistent width makes production easy to plan. Dark Khaki is ordered by clothing manufacturers, fabric shops and hobby sewists working with naturally toned summer qualities. The earthy colour is easy to resell by the metre alongside beige, ecru and green shades in the same palette. Many keep it in stock throughout the summer season because it fits into many collections. Wash at 30 degrees inside out. Pre-washing is recommended, as double gauze shrinks slightly the first few times. Avoid tumble drying and hang to dry.
