Woven from two thin cotton layers tacked together, Dark Denim gets the airy, soft character that defines double gauze. The dark denim-blue tone keeps its colour beautifully wash after wash and is colourfast and consistent from roll to roll, so dark panels can be sewn together without visible differences. This makes the colour easy to work with when a style consists of multiple pieces.

Muslin is used for shirts, dresses, loose trousers, tunics and babywear. The surface has a light, crinkled texture, and the soft drape suits both childrenswear and womenswear. The dark shade feels muted and is easy to combine with both light and warm colours.

Dark Denim is a strong dark base colour that clothing manufacturers and fabric shops keep in stock for summer collections. Stock item – ready for dispatch. The consistent colour makes it easy to reorder for ongoing production where multiple batches need to match.

Wash at 30 degrees with the wrong side out. Pre-washing is recommended, as double gauze shrinks slightly the first few times. Avoid tumble drying – hang to dry.
