5 MM Bordeaux is woven canvas fabric in 100% cotton, 140 cm wide, with a tight construction that provides excellent durability.

The classic check in deep wine-red bordeaux creates a timeless, neutral look that suits both traditional and modern design. Used for shirts, summer dresses, trousers, blazers and jackets — as well as for home decor fabric such as cushion covers, curtains and smaller upholstery covers. The pattern is consistent from roll to roll with no visible colour shifts between joins.

Woven canvas in pure cotton provides a stable, shape-retaining construction that keeps its form after repeated washes. The dense weave offers good coverage — the fabric is not see-through, even over light colours underneath. The bordeaux dyeing is colourfast and lightfast for normal indoor and outdoor use, so garments do not fade in washing or sunlight.

Wash at 40 degrees. Press lightly while the fabric is damp to maintain smoothness and drape. Avoid tumble drying — lay flat or hang to dry.

Combine with solid colour poplin in a matching or contrasting colour for contrast pockets, jacket edges or lining fabric — or use as the main fabric with checked cotton voile for sleeves and flounces.
