Red jersey is an obvious choice when you want a bright base color for collections that require contrast and shelf visibility. The quality is often used for T-shirts, blouses, leggings, hats, as well as children’s clothing sizes from approx. 62 to 164 where stretch and comfort are important.

The 220 g/m² weight provides a dense quality without being too heavy. The cotton/lycra blend gives garments good mobility and a fit that feels stable. Colors in base fabrics should be reliable for reordering when working with fixed colors in a collection.

Fabric stores typically order red as part of a core palette because it combines with both prints and neutral colors. Smaller producers also use red for small series where a classic color that sells year-round is desired.

Wash at 30 degrees, preferably inside out. Avoid tumble drying and hang to dry.
