The safari motif with animals in calm beige and grey tones is often used for cushions, upholstery, bench pads and bags when you want a clear pattern with surface texture. Gobelin is a firm quality with good cover, so the motif sits stable and the fabric is less see-through than many lighter home decor fabrics.

The jacquard woven construction provides a more pronounced surface and a fabric that holds its shape in finished products. This makes the quality suitable when you work with sharp edges, panels and visible details, and when you want a material that handles body without becoming too stiff.

Fabric shops and smaller manufacturers often choose gobelin for collections of cushions and home accessories because the look is consistent and easy to style with solid colour bases. For larger purchases, it is an advantage to plan within the same batch to minimise the risk of colour variations across deliveries.

Wash gently at 30 degrees. Avoid tumble drying. Press at low heat, preferably with a cloth in between.
