About this interfacing

Vliesofix Bondaweb is a double-sided fusible web in 100% polyamide on a paper backing, 90 cm wide. It bonds two layers of fabric together with an iron, so you can secure an appliqué before stitching it, or make a repair completely without needle and thread.

Bondaweb is used for appliqués, hobby work and repairs, and it works on almost all fabric types as well as on felt, cardboard and wood. At low heat it can also be used on leather. The adhesive layer is thin, so the appliqué remains soft.

How to use: trace the motif mirrored on the paper side, and iron the web onto the wrong side of the appliqué fabric with the paper side facing up, at medium heat for approx. 10 seconds. Cut out the motif, peel off the paper, position it, and iron it in place with a damp cloth. Ideally stitch the edge with zigzag afterwards if the item will be washed often.

Once fused, it withstands washing at 60 degrees and dry cleaning. Avoid bleaching and tumble drying.
